Crime and punishment
From my perspective as a student, Crime and Punishment leaves me with a profound reflection on the consequences of our actions and the importance of moral conscience. I found it very striking how the protagonist tries to justify a crime "rationally," but ends up being emotionally destroyed by his own guilt. The novel made me think about how the decisions we make, even when we believe we have good reasons, always have personal and social impacts. The author also portrays the struggle between good and evil within the human being, something that remains relevant today.Although it is a dense read, this book invites us to question justice, redemption, and the true meaning of freedom.
